‘Ohana Tables & Chairs is a small, family-owned business in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii that specializes in renting out tables and chairs for weddings, parties, and events.

Aloha, I am Kamala Galletes. I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have been married since 2008 and have 5 beautiful children, and 2 grandchildren.  

I’ve been substitute teaching since 2006. Substitute teaching provides me the flexibility to be present with my very athletic children, and, most importantly, to be a caregiver for my husband who has intractable epilepsy. He has been under the excellent care of the Queens Medical Center, Neuroscience Institute since 2011.

The right investment opportunity came along, and although experiencing a pandemic (10/15/20), my na’au (gut) said to go with it. It was a great decision; learning and growing our small business has been fun.

‘Ohana means family. It means “dad” doesn’t get left behind. Family owned and operated, means even our children help the business and by working together, as an 'ohana, we will be a successful on all levels.
